Referees Course October 2025

A cold and rainy weekend in October 2025 was perfect for learning how to referee Underwater Hockey.

A motivated group of about 20 participants from Switzerland and across Europe soaked up the excellent input from Daniel, Katja, and Silvania.

The group then demonstrated their skills and showed that they were fit enough to referee Underwater Hockey during a practical training session in the pool.

Finally, the participants’ knowledge was assessed in a theoretical examination.

Diejenigen, die bestanden haben, erfüllten drei der vier Anforderungen für CMAS Level 1:

  • Theoretical Knowledge
  • Fitness
  • Practical Test

The only remaining requirement for obtaining a CMAS Level 1 qualification is five (5) hours of supervised refereeing experience, overseen by a CMAS Level 2 (or higher) referee.
